After going 26-for-36 last week, I’m back with another round of predictions! But let’s be real: my guesses are only as good as a half-court shot at the buzzer. That’s what makes this so fun—because in basketball, anything can happen! Whether I’m right or hilariously wrong, it’s all about celebrating the talent and passion these girls bring to the court. So, let’s take a look at what’s in store for this week across the 5A conference!

5A Central
Beebe (4-1) heads to Mount St. Mary on Tuesday, where I predict they’ll grab a win. However, I think the Lady Badgers will face a tough game at home against LRCA on Friday, and LRCA takes that one. Greenbrier (3-3) has Sylvan Hills on Tuesday, which I expect them to win, and they’ll get a break on Friday.
Jacksonville (2-3) has a challenging week ahead, facing Vilonia on Tuesday and Sylvan Hills on Friday. I predict they’ll lose the first but snag a victory against Sylvan Hills. LRCA (4-1) will defeat the Maumelle Lady Hornets on Tuesday and Beebe on Friday. Maumelle (0-5) faces a tough uphill battle this week, and I predict losses to LRCA and Vilonia.
Mount St. Mary (0-5) hosts Beebe Tuesday, but I think they’ll lose that one and face another loss at Parkview Friday. Meanwhile, Parkview (4-2) gets a break Tuesday but should handle Mount St. Mary on Friday. Sylvan Hills (2-3) faces Greenbrier and Jacksonville, with predictions of losses in both.
Lastly, Vilonia (5-0) remains undefeated with expected wins over Jacksonville and Maumelle.
My anticipated game of the week in the Central region is between the Beebe Lady Badgers and the LRCA Lady Warriors. While the Warriors stumbled against Vilonia last week, they’re a force to be reckoned with this year. Beebe, however, plays incredible team basketball and will make this a close one. Even so, I believe LRCA takes the win.
Current 5A Central top four (alphabetical order): Beebe, LRCA, Parkview, Vilonia

5A South
Benton (4-1) kicks off their week at Sheridan on Tuesday, where I see them winning, but Friday brings a tough challenge at Lakeside, and I’m predicting a Lakeside victory. El Dorado (2-3) faces Lake Hamilton Tuesday and Sheridan Thursday, with losses in both.
Hot Springs (0-5) has two challenging games, losing to White Hall Tuesday and Pine Bluff Friday. Lake Hamilton (5-0) remains strong with wins over El Dorado and White Hall. Lakeside (6-0), currently undefeated, has a bye Tuesday but is set to beat Benton Friday. Pine Bluff (0-5) picks up their first win against Texarkana Tuesday but falls to White Hall Thursday and Hot Springs Friday.
Sheridan (3-2) faces Benton and El Dorado, likely losing to Benton but taking the win Thursday and beating Texarkana Friday. Texarkana (1-5) grabs a win over Pine Bluff but loses to Sheridan.
Lastly, White Hall (2-3) secures victories over Hot Springs and Pine Bluff but loses to Lake Hamilton.
My anticipated game of the week in the South is Benton Lady Panthers vs. Lakeside Lady Rams. With Benton’s only loss to the undefeated Lake Hamilton Lady Wolves, this matchup is crucial. Lakeside, riding a 6-0 streak, has the momentum and home advantage, making them my pick for the win.
Current 5A South top four (alphabetical order): Benton, Lake Hamilton, Lakeside, Sheridan

5A West
Alma (1-2) heads to Van Buren Tuesday and hosts Mountain Home Friday. I predict losses in both. Farmington (3-0), last year’s 4A state champs, faces Mountain Home Tuesday and Russellville Friday. They’ll likely split the week, with a loss to Mountain Home and a win against Russellville.
Greenwood (2-1) should handle Russellville Tuesday and Siloam Springs Friday. Harrison (1-2) takes on Siloam Springs Tuesday and Van Buren Friday, with a win Tuesday but a loss Friday. Mountain Home (3-0) continues their unbeaten streak with wins over Farmington and Alma.
Russellville (1-2) will lose to Greenwood and Farmington, while Siloam Springs (0-3) drops games to Harrison and Greenwood. Finally, Van Buren (1-2) gets wins over Alma and Harrison this week.
My anticipated game of the week in the West is the matchup between Farmington and Mountain Home. Both teams are 3-0 in conference play, but Mountain Home’s home court advantage at the Hangar gives them the edge.
Current 5A West top four (alphabetical order): Farmington, Greenwood, Mountain Home, Van Buren

5A East
Batesville (1-1) will face tough games against Nettleton Tuesday and Marion Friday, likely losing both. Greene County Tech (3-0) should maintain their unbeaten streak with wins over West Memphis and Valley View.
Marion (3-0) continues their strong play with victories over Paragould and Batesville. Nettleton (0-2) takes a win against Batesville but falls to West Memphis. Paragould (0-3) struggles against Marion but gets a win over Searcy. Searcy (0-2) loses to Valley View Tuesday but beats Paragould Friday. Valley View (1-1) beats Searcy Tuesday but falls to Greene County Tech Friday.
Lastly, West Memphis (1-2) will lose to Greene County Tech Tuesday but beat Nettleton Friday.
My anticipated game of the week in the East is Greene County Tech vs. Valley View. While Valley View is strong, Greene County Tech remains dominant and will likely secure the win.
Current 5A East top four (alphabetical order): Greene County Tech, Marion, Valley View, West Memphis
Have a great week, Arkansas!
